Book 0221

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Donated by Phil Livingstone, who says...

This is the first “proper” book I ever read, meaning a book for grown ups. The first time it ended up in front of me was at school when I was 14 and it was read in class over about 6 months. I’ve since read this four or five times, it always gets better and the messages mean something different to me. It’s amazing how a book that I “had” to read is now a book that I really want to read. The film version with Gregory Peck is worth watching too and makes you want to read this book even more.
